Why this exists

No app. No gear talk. Just go.

Most running sites sell you something. Plans, shoes, watches, a podcast about a podcast. This one tells you one thing: yes, you should run today.

The honest version

Running is mostly turning up. Pace doesn't matter. Distance doesn't matter. The first kilometre of a slow run gives you 95% of the benefits people are chasing with $400 watches and split-second analytics. We built nobs.run because we got tired of opening fitness apps that try to sell us a subscription before they'll tell us if it's a good day to head out the door.

What this site actually does

Three things, that's it. First: you arrive, we say yes, you go. Optional: pick an excuse from the list, we roast it. Sometimes a custom roast for whatever you typed. Second: one short coach mail per morning if you want one. Not a newsletter. Not a content series. One line per day, written like a friend who runs. Third: a 5-week plan if you're starting from zero. No app required. No account.

Who this is for

People who already half-want to run and need someone to push them out the door. Not absolute beginners who need professional coaching. Not elite marathoners who already have a coach. The big middle: people who run a few times a week and need one less excuse.

Who runs this

Solo project. Built fast, kept honest. Brand voice is deadpan because that's the only way I (the person behind this) can stand reading running content. If you want sincerity and sunsets there are 10,000 other sites.

What we don't do

We don't track your runs. We don't sell ads. We don't have an app. We don't ask you to sign up to read the site. There's a subscribe form if you want the morning mail, and that's the only thing that requires your email. If we ever sell merch (zwart shirt, that's it), it'll be exactly what we'd want to wear ourselves. Nothing with motivational fonts on it.

The rule

The answer is yes. Now go.

OK, but should I run today?

Yes.
